Tepee, tipi, teepee are all names that signify the same structure. Teepees are most often synonymous with Native Americans. The tipi tent was their abode. Cooking, sleeping and eating were all done in the confines of the tipi.

Although most tipis were not decorated, some were adorned with various symbols and figures.
